The apartment is ideal for a connoisseur of historic tenement houses. A unique beauty apartment in a historic building in the heart of the city, next to Pl. Banking and Old Town.
HISTORY AND LOCATION
The tenement house in which the flat is located is one of the few buildings that survived the Warsaw ghetto. Even before 1939, it stood at a lively shopping street full of shops and always filled with crowds of people on the sidewalks. The Classicist building, whose construction began in the spring of 1830, was a fragment of Tłomacki's buildings, rising at the narrow isthmus connecting the square with Bielańska. The designer of the tenement house was Józef Lessel, author of the design of the round synagogue and mikveh building in Prague. It is one of the most valuable monuments of this kind in Warsaw before the November Uprising. The building was commissioned by the goldsmith Karol Jerzy Lilpop, who belonged to the elite of Warsaw craftsmen.
Excellent central location of the tenement house between Pl. Banking and the Old Town, thanks to which everything is within reach. Near the Krasiński Park and the Saxon Garden, 2 min. to the Ratusz metro station.
